Terms

The terms, while this is a beta.

Exono is free, invite-only and unfinished. These are the terms that actually apply to that, and they will get longer the day it stops being true.

What you are agreeing to use

Exono is a private beta. Access is by invitation, there is no way to sign yourself up, and there is no charge. Using it means agreeing to what is on this page and to the privacy policy beside it.

An invitation is for you. Do not pass it on — a seat is issued to a person, and the account behind it holds that person's notes.

What a beta means here, concretely

  • Nothing is backed up yet. Do not keep anything in Exono that exists nowhere else.
  • There is no uptime commitment. The service sleeps when idle and can be unavailable without notice.
  • Features change and some will be removed. Anything on the public page describes the beta as it is today.
  • Nothing works offline. Every screen is a live call to the service.

Exono is provided as it is, with no warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from using a free beta — and the honest reading of that is the first line above: keep another copy of anything that matters.

What you write stays yours

The people, notes and commitments you record are yours. Exono claims no ownership of them, does not sell them, and does not use them to train a model anyone else benefits from. We hold them so the product can hand them back to you, and for nothing else.

You are responsible for what you write down. Exono holds information about people who never signed up for it, and the judgement about what is appropriate to record about someone is yours.

What not to do with it

  • Do not use Exono to build a dossier on someone, to harass anybody, or to hold information about a person that you have no legitimate reason to hold.
  • Do not upload anything unlawful, or anything you are not entitled to hold.
  • Do not attempt to reach another account's data, probe the service for weaknesses without asking first, or automate access to it.
  • Do not resell access or share your seat.

If you think you have found a security problem, write to contact@exono.ai before you write about it anywhere else. We would rather hear it from you.

Ending it

You can stop using Exono whenever you like. There is no self-serve account deletion yet, so ask us and we will do it — see the privacy policy, which says the same thing and means it.

We can end access to the beta, for one account or altogether, and will give reasonable notice unless something is being misused. If the beta closes, you will be told before it does and given a way to get your data out.

Price, later

Exono will be a paid subscription. Nothing is being charged during the beta and no price has been set. Nobody will be moved onto a paid plan without being asked first.

Changes to these terms

The date at the top is the date this last changed. A change that materially affects you will be sent by email rather than quietly edited in.
